arylformamidase
ar·yl·for·mam·i·dase (ar″əl-for-mamґĭ-dās) [EC 3.5.1.9] an enzyme of the hydrolase class that catalyzes the cleavage of formylkynurenine to formate and kynurenine, a step in the catabolism of tryptophan. The enzyme also acts on other formyl aromatic amines.
