Blighia

Blighia
(bliґyə) a genus of evergreen trees of the family Sapindaceae, native to West Africa. B. saґpida Kon. is the akee or ackee, whose aril is cooked and considered a delicacy in the West Indies but is poisonous if eaten raw. See Jamaican vomiting sickness, under sickness.
