chairback brace
any of several types of thoracolumbosacral or lumbosacral orthoses used to treat low back pain, having a pelvic band passing between the iliac crest and the greater trochanter and a thoracic band passing just below the angle of the scapula; steel upright bars connect the bands and provide rigidity.
