bronchi segmentales
[TA] segmental bronchi: air passages arising from the lobar bronchi and passing to the different segments of the two lungs, where they further subdivide into smaller and smaller passages (bronchioles). The segmental bronchi are designated by roman numerals, with the three right lobar bronchi divided into ten segmental bronchi and the two left lobar bronchi into eight or nine, depending on the system of classification.
