cal·ci·mi·met·ic (kal″se-mĭ-metґik) 1. increasing the body's response to extracellular calcium, such as by increasing the ability of receptors in the parathyroid glands to respond to calcium. 2. an agent that increases the body's response to extracellular calcium.
