olfactory cells
olfactory receptor cells a set of specialized, fusiform nerve cells with large nuclei, embedded among the epithelial cells in the mucous membrane of the nose; they carry impulses from the olfactory receptors to the glomeruli in the olfactory bulb. Called also Schultze c's.
