glass ionomer cement resin-modified
a type of glass ionomer cement with pendant methacrylate groups attached to polycarboxylic acid; it also may contain other water-soluble methacrylate monomers and complex vinyl-carboxylate monomers. Hardening occurs by acid-base reaction plus addition polymerization. Called also hybrid glass ionomer c.
