cerivastatin sodium
ce·riv·a·stat·in so·di·um (sə-rivґə-stat″in) a synthetic HMG-CoA reductase inhibitor, used as an adjunct to diet to lower blood lipid levels in the treatment of hypercholesterolemia and other forms of dyslipidemia; administered orally. Withdrawn in the United States because it is associated with an increased risk for rhabdomyolysis.
