Chrysophyceae
Chrys·o·phy·ce·ae (kris″o-fiґse-e) a class of free-swimming, flagellate, ameboid, plantlike organisms, traditionally considered protozoa but now assigned to the algae phylum Phaeophyta. Species may live in either salt or fresh water and have two unequal flagella, sometimes brown chloroplasts, and a cyst wall that is typically siliceous.
