progressive coccidioidomycosis
secondary coccidioidomycosis a virulent and severe chronic progressive granulomatous disease with involvement of the cutaneous and subcutaneous tissues, viscera, central nervous system, and lungs, with anemia, phlebitis, and a variety of allergic responses. It may be either a new infection or a reactivation of arrested primary disease, such as in immunocompromised patients.
