Brachial plexus

Brachial plexus
A bundle of nerves beginning in the back of the base of the neck and extending through the axilla (armpit). The brachial plexus is formed by the union of portions of the fifth through eighth cervical nerves and the first thoracic nerve from the spinal cord. Damage to the brachial plexus can affect nerves supplying the arm and chest.
