cystine-trypticase agar
an agar medium containing cystine, pancreatic digest of casein, sodium chloride, sodium sulfite, and phenol red, an aerobic differential medium for the general culture of pathogenic bacteria, including fastidious organisms. It may be supplemented with specific sugars and used to test fermentation reactions in Neisseria species.
