cerebral folate deficiency
decreased concentrations of 5-methyltetrahydrofolate in the cerebrospinal fluid while levels may be normal in the blood; the condition is usually congenital and seen in infants, and is characterized by progressive spasticity, speech difficulties, and sometimes dyskinesias and seizures. The etiology is unknown.
