[TA] oblique diameter of pelvis: the diagonal diameter across the pelvic inlet, measured from one sacroiliac joint to the iliopubic eminence of the other side. Designated right or left depending on which sacroiliac joint is used for reference; the left is uniformly 0.5 cm. shorter than the right.
