binomial distribution

binomial distribution
the probability distribution that describes the frequencies of the different possible combinations of two alternative outcomes in a series of n> independent trials; it is given by expansion of the binomial (p> + q>)n>, where one of the two alternative outcomes has probability of p> and the other of q> = 1 − p>.
