myoclonic encephalopathy of childhood
a variant of opsoclonus-myoclonus syndrome seen in children, with onset between ages one and three, characterized by myoclonus of trunk and limbs and by opsoclonus, with ataxia of gait and intention tremor. The etiology is unknown, but some cases have been associated with occult neuroblastoma. Called also Kinsbourne syndrome.
