facies costalis pulmonis
[TA] costal surface of lung: the convex surface of each lung in close adaptation to the curvatures of the ribs and the costal cartilages, which joins the mediastinal surface at the anterior and posterior borders and the diaphragmatic surface at the inferior border. It is related behind to the sides of the vertebral bodies (pars vertebralis faciei costalis pulmonis).
