[TA] medial forebrain bundle: a fiber system that is the main pathway for longitudinal connection in the hypothalamus; it runs through the lateral hypothalamic region, connecting the tegmentum of the mesencephalon and elements of the limbic system. Called also f. prosencephalicus medialis, medial prosencephalic f., and medial telencephalic f.
