fissura transversa cerebri
[TA] transverse fissure of cerebrum: the fissure between the dorsal surface of the diencephalon and the ventral surface of the cerebral hemispheres, produced by the folding back of the hemispheres during their development; called also great or great transverse fissure of cerebrum and fissure of Bichat.
