interlocking
in·ter·lock·ing (in″tər-lokґing) 1. closely joined, as by hooks or dovetails; locking into one another. 2. a complication of labor in twin births in which the inferior surface of the chin of one twin is hooked to that of its co-twin above or below the pelvic inlet. When this condition occurs in the true pelvis, it is called compaction.
