lamina posterior vaginae musculi recti abdominis
[TA] posterior layer of sheath of rectus abdominis muscle: the portion of the muscle sheath lying posterior to the rectus abdominis muscle, formed by the transversus abdominis muscle and its aponeurosis at the level of the xiphoid process; inferior to the xiphoid process, as far as the arcuate line, it is formed by the aponeuroses of the internal oblique and the transversus abdominis muscles.
