Armanni-Ebstein lesion

Armanni-Ebstein lesion
vacuolation of epithelial cells in the proximal straight tubules of the kidneys (see Armanni-Ebstein cells, under cell) due to glycogen deposition, a condition seen in untreated diabetes mellitus. Called also Armanni-Ebstein change or degeneration.
