ligamentum sternocostale intraarticulare
[TA] intra-articular sternocostal ligament: a horizontal fibrocartilaginous plate in the center of the second sternocostal joint, which joins the tip of the costal cartilage to the fibrous junction between the manubrium and the body of the sternum, and thus divides the joint into two parts. Called also interarticular sternocostal ligament and l. sternocostale interarticulare.
