macroautophagy
mac·ro·au·toph·a·gy (mak″ro-aw-tophґə-je) autophagy in which large volumes of cytoplasm, including proteins, organelles, and ribosomes, are enclosed in a double-membraned vacuole (autophagosome), which fuses with a lysosome. Cf. microautophagy.
