- nocardial mastitis
- mastitis in cattle caused by an infection with Nocardia asteroides or N. farcinica. Characteristics include granulomatous lesions of the udder with fibrosis, inflammation, abscesses, and fever; damage to the udder and milk supply is usually permanent.
