natalizumab
nat·al·iz·u·mab (nat″ə-lizґu-mab) a recombinant humanized IgG4κ monoclonal antibody, produced in murine myeloma cells, that binds to α4-integrin, which is expressed on the surface of all leukocytes except neutrophils, preventing transmigration of leukocytes into inflamed parenchymal tissue. It is used in the treatment of patients with relapsing forms of multiple sclerosis, to delay the accumulation of physical disability and reduce the frequency of clinical exacerbations; administered intravenously.
