[TA] superficial inguinal lymph nodes: lymph nodes situated in the subcutaneous tissue inferior to the inguinal ligament on either side of the proximal part of the greater saphenous vein, comprising two upper (supermedial and superolateral) groups and one lower (inferior) group; they drain the skin of the lower abdominal wall, penis, scrotum or labia majora, perineum, and buttocks.
