Oeciacus
Oeci·a·cus (e-siґə-kəs) a genus of insects related to bedbugs but having hairy bodies covered by long silklike coats; they are found on birds and in their nests. O. hiruґdinis is found on barn swallows in Europe and sometimes invades homes and attacks humans, causing severe irritation. O. vicaґrius is found on swallows in North America.
