ox·i·dro·nate (HDP, HMDP) (ok″sĭ-droґnāt) a hydroxymethylene-substituted diphosphonate compound having an affinity for sites of osteoid mineralization; complexed with technetium 99m it is used in bone imaging. See table at technetium.
