radiofrequency pacemaker
an artificial cardiac pacemaker consisting of an antenna coil on the skin and a subcutaneously implanted receiving coil with an electrode inserted into the ventricular myocardium. Pulses from a lightweight radio transmitter carried by the patient are transmitted to the pacemaker.
