pars posterior hepatis
[TA] posterior part of liver: term used to refer to the posterior region that is not part of either the left part (TA, pars hepatis sinistra) or the right part (TA, pars hepatis dextra); this part is coextensive with the caudate lobe. Called also posterior liver.
