pilomatricoma
pi·lo·ma·tri·co·ma (pi″lo-ma″trĭ-koґmə) [pilo- + matrix + -oma] a solitary, benign, calcifying adnexal tumor of hair follicle origin, manifested as a circumscribed, firm, intracutaneous nodule. It usually occurs on the face, neck, or upper limb of a person under age 20. Histological features include a fibrous stroma surrounding nests of basophilic cells and ghost cells. Called also benign calcified, benign calcifying, or Malherbe calcifying epithelioma.
