infection in pigs by Mycoplasma hyorhinis or M. hyosynoviae, often occurring after unusual stresses; characteristics include polyarthritis, swollen joints, and lameness. M. hyorhinis infection may be accompanied by polyserositis (see mycoplasmal polyserositis).
