processus zygomaticus ossis temporalis
[TA] zygomatic process of temporal bone: a long, strong process arising from the inferior portion of the squamous part of the temporal bone, passing anteriorly from just superior to the entrance of the external acoustic meatus to join the zygomatic bone and thus forming the zygomatic arch. It has an anterior root and a posterior root extending along the temporal bone.
