ral·ox·i·fene hy·dro·chlo·ride (ral-okґsĭ-fēn) a selective estrogen receptor modulator that has estrogenlike effects on bone, increasing bone mineral density, and on lipid metabolism, decreasing total and LDL cholesterol, but not on breast and uterine tissue; used for the prevention of postmenopausal osteoporosis; administered orally.
