[TA] ganglionic branches of lingual nerve to submandibular ganglion: branches which interconnect the lingual nerve and the submandibular ganglion, and by which the ganglion is suspended from the nerve; they carry preganglionic fibers that derive from the chorda tympani and synapse in the submandibular ganglion and postganglionic fibers. Called also radix sensoria ganglii submandibularis [TA alternative] and motor or sensory root of submandibular ganglion.
