[TA] lateral cervical region: the region of the neck lateral to the sternocleidomastoid region (posterior to the sternocleidomastoid muscle); called also trigonum cervicale posterius [TA alternative], trigonum colli laterale [TA alternative], and posterior cervical triangle.
