Saccharopolyspora
Sac·cha·ro·po·ly·spo·ra (sak″ə-ro-pol″e-sporґə) [L. Saccharum generic name of sugarcane + Gr. poly many + sporos seed] a genus of bacteria of the family Pseudonocardiaceae, consisting of branching filaments that fragment into rod-shaped elements; organisms are gram-positive, aerobic, and non–acid-fast. The type species is S. hirsuґta.
