sarcospan

sarcospan
sar·co·span (sahrґko-span) an integral membrane protein with four transmembrane domains, expressed in cardiac and skeletal muscle as well as many other tissues; it is believed to play a role anchoring other proteins to the lipid bilayer. In skeletal muscle, it is part of the dystrophin-glycoprotein complex.
