secobarbital sodium
[USP] the monosodium salt of secobarbital, having the same actions as the base; administered orally, intravenously, or intramuscularly as a sedative and hypnotic, particularly a presurgical adjunct to anesthesia, and intravenously or intramuscularly as an anticonvulsant in the treatment of tetanus.
