interalveolar septum
1. any of the septa interalveolaria mandibulae or septa interalveolaria maxillae. 2. one of the thin septa that separate adjacent pulmonary alveoli, containing connective tissue constituents of the respiratory tissue and the capillary network of the blood supply of the lung. Called also alveolar s.
