Baermann test

Baermann test
(for nematodes and larvae in soil or feces) a specimen of soil or feces is suspended over gauze or wire mesh in a water-filled funnel to which a piece of rubber tubing is attached; larval nematodes such as Strongyloides stercoralis will migrate from the specimen to the water, and collect in the rubber tubing.
