harmonic acceleration test
(for vestibuloocular reflex) rotation of a patient seated in a chair in complete darkness, with monitoring of eye movements; with normal vestibuloocular reflexes the eyes will undergo rotatory nystagmus to the same degree in both eyes in the direction opposite to that of the rotation.
