Master “2-step” exercise test

Master “2-step” exercise test
(for coronary insufficiency) an early exercise test in which a patient stepped on and off a set of two stairs for a number of trips standardized for age, weight, and sex, with electrocardiograms recorded immediately after test cessation. It has been supplanted by graded exercise tests that can induce higher levels of stress.
