fissured tongue
a sometimes familial condition characterized by the presence on the dorsal surface of the tongue of numerous furrows, which may radiate outwardly from the median raphe. Called also cerebriform t., furrowed t., grooved t., plicated t., scrotal t., sulcated t., wrinkled t., and lingua plicata.
