tetanus and diphtheria toxoids

tetanus and diphtheria toxoids
(Td) a combination of tetanus toxoid and (reduced) diphtheria toxoid used for immunization of patients at least seven years of age when pertussis vaccine is contraindicated; it contains 5- to 10-fold less diphtheria toxoid than does the diphtheria and tetanus toxoid combination (DT) used for younger patients. It is available as tetanus and diphtheria toxoids adsorbed for adult use [USP].
