gothic arch tracing
a tracing of the movements of the mandible, resembling an arrowhead or a Gothic arch, made by means of a device attached to the opposing arches, the exact shape depending on the location of the marking point relative to the tracing table; the apex of the tracing is considered as an indication of the centric relation. Called also arrow point or needle point t. See also gothic arch tracer, under tracer.
