Trepomonas
Trep·o·mo·nas (trep″o-moґnəs) [trepo- + Gr. monas unit, from monos single] a genus of flagellate protozoa (suborder Diplomonadina, order Diplomonadida) free-living in fresh water, coprophilic, or parasitic in amphibians, fish, and turtles, and characterized by the presence of one long and three short flagella on each side of the body.
