a formaldehyde-inactivated vaccine prepared from infected mouse brains, used for immunization against Japanese encephalitis; recommended for persons staying a month or more in endemic or epidemic regions of Asia during transmission season and for laboratory workers who may be exposed to Japanese encephalitis virus.
