A wave
1. a compound muscle action potential evoked by a submaximal stimulus to the motor nerve of a muscle, occurring because of an axon reflex and due to axonal branching; it has an amplitude similar to that of the F wave but a shorter, more constant latency. Called also axon w. 2. in an intracardiac electrogram, the complex waveform due to depolarization of the atria, usually specifically the lower atrial septum in the His bundle electrogram.
